NBUA Training 2006
Rules of Engagement

To make the most out of our training sessions, NBUA asks that you adhere to the following training rules of Engagement:

  • Turn All Cell Phones and Pagers off, unless you are a Dr. on-call or an Expectant Father (if you are an expectant mother, it is okay to interrupt if there is a need.)
  • Be respectful of all participants: Trainers, fellow umpires and guests
  • Only one person shall talk at a time and no side-bar conversations
  • If you have a question, think of how it can be presented without an attached "War Story"
  • NO knotty problems or situations. Every single play in baseball can have a "what if" attached to it. We don't need to answer, "Is an arm torn from the body detached gear?"   "And what if it then goes over the fence and lands before the fielders feet land in dead ball territory?"
  • Your instructors have volunteered to work with training this year. Please respect that.
  • Your instructors may not always have the answer. If they don't, they will commit to get the right answer and bring it back to the group. No need to hold up the session and find it to prove anyone wrong.

Thanks to Dave Natali, the "A" Tier Coordinator for getting us off to a professional start!
