Kris Carlstedt
I have run for a position on the NBUA Board for the past two years. I decided not to run this year because our current Board of Directors has done an excellent job and each incumbent up for reelection this year deserves to be reelected.
The Nomination Committee approached me and asked if I was interested in running for the fourth open seat on the Board this year. It would be my pleasure to hold a seat on the NBUA Board.
For those of you who do not know me, I have just completed my ninth season with NBUA. I have also served on the finance committee the past two seasons and on the training committee this season. I have been involved as member of the training staff the past two seasons. I also officiate basketball with the Pacific Northwest Basketball Officials Association.
Professionally, I have a degree in economics and accounting and have worked as a Revenue Agent for the Internal Revenue Service for the past five years. As a Revenue Agent I am responsible for auditing small businesses and self-employed taxpayers. I also have other board experience as the Vice President of my homeowner’s association.
My professional experience and knowledge as an umpire make me a good candidate for the NBUA Board and I believe that I can help the Board to continue the smooth management of our Association.
