Mike Brancheau
It has been my privilege to serve you as a member of the NBUA Board of Directors since my appointment earlier this season. I would now like to continue my service for a full term.
There are four issues of greatest importance to the membership:
1. Do we have games to work? The Board must nurture our existing customer relationships and grow our customer base. We should have games available for all levels of our officials.
2. Do we have trained and qualified umpires to work these games? We must remain successful in bringing in new umpires and in improving the professional skills of our veteran umpires. We must assure our members of a fair system for advancement to higher tiers.
3. Do we have a fair game assignment process. We must have backup systems in place and be prepared for contingencies.
4. Are we fairly compensated for the games we work? Negotiating the fees we charge our customers and pay to our umpires is a key responsibility of the Board. Equally important is maintaining our financial solvency and proper fiscal management.
The answer to all four of these questions is and should be yes. If elected, I will do everything I can to assure the answers remain YES, next year, two years from now, and five years from now.
You are asked to put a great deal of faith and trust in individuals to manage and operate our half million dollar enterprise. I have demonstrated my commitment to these principals both prior to my current appointment and during the few months I have served on the Board. Specifically for the past two years I managed our Mentor Program, assisting in the training and retention of our new umpires. While serving on the Board I managed the creation of the Training Survey and administered this seasons 3 man Fall Ball Program.
If you entrust me with this stewardship for a full term I will continue to work hard and never lose sight of the things that are most important.
Please vote for me, Mike Brancheau for Board of Directors.
