Steve Hilgendorf

Fellow members, I am seeking your vote to continue on the board of directors of NBUA.   I've served on the board for the past 3 years and have been actively involved in many facets such as; training, evaluations, discussion with teams and coaches regarding services, and regular board business.

This past year, I was elected by the board to be your president. During that time we were able to "course correct" the problems with assigning the year before by installing a new program and putting in parameters that fit our needs the most.   We've continued to do that. Games were covered and we have received very positive feedback from many of our customers.   During a meeting with the AD's from Auburn-Riverside and Auburn HS, Jack Miller and myself were able to prevent them from going to a different association, resulting in a very successful relationship this past spring.

I have been a member of NBUA since 1991 and before that, I umpired in Oregon for 10 years. I've experienced all levels of umpiring and have been exposed to many associations' operations.

In looking forward to the next two years, it is my goal to see that more of the monies you earn as umpires make it into your pockets. Just as important, is a better cash flow system to get you the money you've earned in a more timely fashion. With the help of Leslie Fitzpatrick, we are developing a budget, to make those things happen.

I look forward to the opportunity to serve on the board again to help ensure that the NBUA administration is as solid, strong, and committed as the umpires we represent.
