Long time NBUA umpire Jim Marino passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 15. He was 77.

Services were held Monday, Dec. 20, at Evergreen-Washelli, 11111 Aurora Ave N. Attending Jim Marino's service include NBUA's Joe Whitefield, Ed Petrullo, Chuck Jackson, Ray Sullivan, Ron Lawrence, Paul Pioli and Jack Miller.

Marino started officiating baseball in at age 33 in 1957, 12 years before NBUA came into being. Jim last paid dues in 1995.

He is survived by his wife Rosalie Marino; five children, Monte Marino, Dode Hutchison, Carmen Kimball, Tony Marino, Charlene Clark; four stepchildren, Vickey Ostil, Jon E. Scott, Tammy Powelson and Trudi Sleeth; 18 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
