Recruiting: New Member Orientation Meetings set

The recruiting committee of the NBUA has scheduled two new member orientation meetings for prospective umpires:

• UPDATED: Thursday, January 12, 7 p.m., at Shoreline Community Center, Spartan Room, N. 185th Street & First Ave. N., in Shoreline.

• Wednesday, January 18, 7 p.m., WIAA (Washington Interscholastic Activities Association), 435 Main Avenue South, Renton.

Sign-in will be from 6:30 to 7 p.m. on both days. The program will last about an hour and will include time for questions and answers.

As a member of the NBUA, after completing the required training, prospective umpires will have the opportunity to work many different levels of baseball.
