Election 2005
Message from the President

As you are aware, NBUA held its Annual Meeting on October 25, 2005. I want to thank David Natali and Vern Dahl for Co-Chairing this year's Nomination/Election Committee and all of the committee members for their hard work and dedication. Special thanks go to Jim Edwards, Dick Lindberg, Karen Merriwether and Tim Stevens for their service to the Association.

In accordance with Articles 3.6 and 5.1 of our Bylaws the newly elected Board of Directors met following the Annual Meeting of the membership and elected officers. The Board elected the following slate of officers for 2006:

Rich Johnson, President
Brian Gooch, Vice President
David Natali, Secretary
Scott Johnson, Treasurer

In addition to the election of officers, the Board of Directors also appointed Committee Chairs for the 2006 season:

Gary Coy, Evaluations
Mike Brancheau, Training
Vern Dahl, Bylaws
Scott Johnson, Website

As President, I will chair the Finance Committee.

In accordance with Article 4 Section 7, I am appointing Scott Johnson and Brian Gooch as Co-Chairs of the Recruiting/Retention Committee. All appointments are effective immediately.

I will be meeting with each of the committee chairs during the next 10 days to review committee charters, committee and staff membership requirements, and develop action plans and timelines for 2006. If you are interested in assisting in the administration of this organization, now is the time to let the committee chairs know of your interest.

I look forward to working with you and appreciate your dedication and support to this outstanding organization.
