Randy Johnson elected to 2011-12 NBUA Board

The Northwest Baseball Umpires Association held its Annual Meeting on October 3 at the Renton Highlands Library where the results of the Board elections were announced. Four of the 2011 Board candidates were in attendance along with Hank Margeson, Fritz Timm, Rich Johnson and Brian Gooch.

Elected to 2-year terms were Mark Clough, Gary Coy, John Philbeck and Randy Johnson. Richard Houser finished just behind these four in the tally.

Prior to the Annual Meeting the Election Committee convened; certified and announced the results of the election. There were 107 votes cast electronically.

The 2011-12 NBUA Executive Committee includes Rich Johnson, president; Hank Margeson, vice president; Gary Coy, secretary and John Philbeck, treasurer. Committee chairman for the next year are: John Philbeck, finance; Gary Coy, training; Mark Clough, evaluations; Randy Johnson, bylaws / policies & procedures; Fritz Timm, recruiting and retention; and Jay Neff, member services / communication. Brian Gooch and Hank Margeson are at-large directors.

The Elections Committee would like to thank and congratulate all five of the candidates for their involvement in the association. The committee also thanks every member that voted in the election. Your interest and participation is vital to support of the continuing success of the Northwest Baseball Umpires Association.
