NBUA 2006 Board of Directors Election
Your opportunity to meet the candidates

NBUA members will have ample opportunity to get to know the views of the 10 candidates for five seats on your board of directors. Some of what is to follow will be similar to years past.   However, your election committee will be incorporating some innovative ideas to help you make a more informed vote this year.

On Friday, October 6 the NBUA Voters Guide will be published in The Indicator. In their statement, each candidate will present to you his vision for the future of our Association. This is similar to recent elections.

Over subsequent weeks, you will have an opportunity to read the candidate responses to questions selected by the election committee. In this new online forum, the candidates will have up to three business days to respond to each question. This period of time is similar to the period of time board members have to respond to issues that come up and need attention between board meetings. Candidate answers will be "sealed" until the end of the 3-day period. The questions and all candidate answers will be published simultaneously to the membership. No candidate will know the other candidates' responses until you do.

What questions would you like the candidates to address?   E-mail your questions to Gary Coy at gary901c@comcast.net or Rich Connors at rich@seatacpark.com . Questions will be selected based on relevance, the broad appeal of the issue addressed and the relative importance to NBUA.
