NBUA 2005 Elections
Candidates Announced
As the deadline for filing for candidacy in the upcoming NBUA Board of Directors election passed on Monday, eight candidates have stepped forward seeking the four positions up for election. The candidates running for the 4 positions in order of their announcement to the Election Chairman are: Gary Coy, Scott Johnson, Mike Carter, Jay Neff, Mike Brancheau, Kris Carlstedt, Rich Connors and Gavin Anderson. Anderson, Brancheau, Coy and Johnson are currently serving on the Board of Directors, while Connors and Neff have served on the Board in the past and Carlstedt and Carter are seeking their first election to the Board.
The election takes place at the NBUA Annual Meeting, 7 p.m., October 25, 2005 at the North Seattle Community College auditorium.
The candidates have been asked to submit a campaign statement of no more than 600 words to Election Chairman David Natali by 8 p.m. September 30. The order in which these statements are received will dictate the order they will appear in the voters guide and on the election ballot.
The 2005 Election Committee Chair is very pleased with the turnout, success and program developed by the 2004 Election Committee chaired by Gavin Anderson and shall utilize the same four (4) voting methods: Voting in Person at the Election Meeting, Absentee Email, Electronic Voting on the NBUA website or Absentee US Postal Service Mail. You will receive further information regarding the process as it is adapted and finalized.
Assiting with the 2005 Election will be Vern Dahl, Dick Lindberg, Jim Edwards, Karen Merriwether and Tim Stevens.
