The 2008 NBUA Annual Meeting and Board of Directors election will take place Monday, October 6, 2008 at the Washington Interscholastic Athletic Association headquarters, 435 Main Ave. South, Renton, WA. The polls will open that evening at 6:15 and close at 7:00 p.m. We are very pleased to announce that our Association has six excellent choices for the five available seats this year.

Candidates running for the two year term from October 2008 through October 2010 include Brian Gooch, Marc Forsythe, Rich Johnson, Chris Claflin, Jay Neff and Vern Dahl.

This year Members have two methods to cast their vote:

•  Online Voting: Members in good standing may cast their ballots online. The online ballot will be available on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 (Members will receive an e-mail notice when the online polls are opened). To access their secure ballot Members will enter their NBUA peer evaluation site identification number (usually the last four digits of your social security number). Once at the online ballot the Member may select up to, but no more than, five (5) of the candidates, including any write-in candidates. Please note, by selecting "submit" your vote will be cast and you will no longer be able to access the online ballot. Online voting will be closed at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 6.

•  Voting in Person: Members that have not voted online may complete a paper ballot between 6:15 and 7:00 pm Monday, October 6, 2008 at the offices of WIAA.
