| Wednesday, August 26, 2009 Unique opportunity for "Classic" training By Mike Brancheau Special Opportunity for two NBUA members to save half on tuition for an upcoming Jim Evans Academy of Professional Umpiring "Classic." Member Paul Baeder recently attended the Florida Classic of the Jim Evans Academy of Professional Umpiring and was presented with a certificate that is good for two tuitions to a future “Classic” for the price of one. He has graciously donated that certificate to NBUA. Therefore, if there are two members going to one of the upcoming Classics (Dessert Classic in Tucson, Ariz., or Florida Classic in Kissimmee, Fla.), each could save about $200 on the cost of tuition. (The certificate is valid for $395). Two members will be given the certificate to share. If more than two members make the request, we will choose the recipients via random drawing. The classics take place in Tucson from October 20 - 25 and Kissimmee from Dec. 27 – 31. If you are going to one of the classics this year please send a note to - mikebran@gmail.com. Indicate which classic you are attending. If you already know a member who is going and you would like to share this certificate together, indicate that as well. Assuming that two or more members apply, we will award the certificate September 12. And hats off to, and a special thanks to Paul Baeder!
