2008 Board of Directors Election
Call for Candidates

The 2008 NBUA Elections Committee is soliciting interested members to file for candidacy for the five open positions for your NBUA Board of Directors. Current Board Members whose term will expire this year include Rich Johnson, Brian Gooch, Vern Dahl, Marc Forsythe and Gavin Anderson. The 2008 Election will be held on Monday, October 6, 2008 at the all-member Annual Meeting at the WIAA Offices, 435 Main Ave. South, Renton, Washington.

Elected Board Members serve two year terms. Interested candidates may communicate their intent to run for one of the five open positions in writing by email to st1jrp@comcast.net or U.S. Postal Service to John Philbeck, 2709 Airport Way South, Seattle, WA 98134 no later then 9 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2008. Candidate statements (600 words or less) and photos are due at the same time.

If you are interested in becoming a Candidate and want more information or any assistance, including help writing your Candidate statement, please contact any of the 2008 Election Committee Members listed at the end of this article. Members will be notified that their expressed interest has been received. Voter's Guide statements will be dated upon receipt and the order of receipt will determine the order of listing in the Voter's Guide and on the election ballot. Statements received on the same day will be ordered in a random selection by the committee. The 2008 NBUA Voter's Guide should be published by Monday, September 15, 2008.  

The 2008 Election Committee is comprised of a dedicated group of our Members including Mike Brancheau, Kris Carlstedt, Gary Coy, John Philbeck, Charlie Atterbury, Bob Link, Dave Natali, Nancy Pacharzina and Mitch Wasserman. You may contact any of these Members if you have any questions or especially if you are interested in applying as a candidate.
