Connors steps down from board
By Scott Johnson
Editor
Rich Connors resigned from the NBUA board of directors effective immediately. Connors served two years on the board, first as an appointee filling an unexpired term and then elected by the membership in last year's election. During his two years on the board, Connors contributed greatly, serving first as Board Secretary and then last year as Treasurer. As Treasurer Connors pushed for better accounting controls to secure the Association's financial strength. He was also instrumental in formulating the current incentive program that allowed members, through their own increased participation, to keep more of their earnings.
In a prepared statement, Connors said, "I enjoyed my time on the Board, and I think NBUA has benefited during my tenure. At the same time, the Association is much stronger financially and the financial reporting is more professional, timely and complete. I am proud of what I helped accomplish."
A replacement for Connors has not been named.
