Leon, Trauter get the call

Two more NBUA members have joined the ranks of minor league umpires.

Bobby Leon, who joined NBUA last season, was named to the Arizona Rookie League. Leon attended Jim Evans Academy of Professional Umpires this past winter and was on the school's reserve list to PBUC (Professional Baseball Umpire Corporation).

Clint Trauter, who joined NBUA in 2004, attended Jim Evans in 2004 and 2006, was named to PBUC this year (reserve in 2004) and was hired by the Arizona Rookie League out of PBUC. He was promoted to Northwest League last week. Trauter will work in Everett Aug. 29 - Sept. 3, working the plate on Aug. 30, Sept. 1 and 3. Let's make sure we give him a classic NBUA welcome!
