Jerry Diskin, former NBUA President, died Tuesday at Harborview Medical Center of complications after brain surgery. A tumor had appeared just a few months ago.

Jerry, a federal prosecutor, was an NBUA umpire from 1990-96, board member from 1993-96 and board president from 1994-96. Jerry officiated high school regional tournaments in 1992 and 1994.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Michelle; and five children, Jerome Jr., Aimee, Evan, Claire and Elise. A memorial service is scheduled for 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 9 at the U.S. Courthouse, 1010 Fifth Ave., Seattle. A funeral Mass is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, June 10 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1411 First Ave. W., Seattle.
