Peer Eval
Primer
By Gary Coy
Evaluations Chairman
It has been brought
to my attention that there may be some confusion amongst the membership
about the peer scoring and what the scores mean. The following chart should
help clear up any confusion.
A+ This score should be given to
college umpires who perform in a manner consistent with what is expected
of umpires above the "A" tier or any other umpires who perform
in a manner consistent with that of umpires above the "A" tier.
A This score should be given to
umpires who perform in a manner consistent with what is expected of an
"A" tier umpire.
Low A / High B This score should
be given to umpires whose performance was above what is expected of "B"
umpires but not consistent with what is expected of "A" umpires.
B This score should be given when
the umpire's performance was consistent with what is expected of a "B"
tier umpire.
Low B / High C This score should
be given to an umpire whose performance was above what is expected of
a "C" umpire but not consistent with what is expected of a "B"
tier umpire.
C This score should be given to
an umpire whose performance was consistent with what is expected of a
"C" tier umpire.
Low C This score should be given
to umpires whose performance was below what is expected of "C"
tier umpires.
Please adhere to these scoring guidelines.
