2007 Member Services Agreement

By Vern Dahl
By-Laws Committee Chairman

While most of you were repairing damage from the windstorms of December or digging out from the snowstorm in January, the NBUA By-Laws committee was busy at work.

As you recall, last year NBUA implemented a Member Services Agreement (MSA) to better define responsibilities and expectations for both our members and for the NBUA. Over the past couple of months this document has been refined, updated and is ready for the 2007 season.

You can download and print this document here (it is in the members only section of the web site so you will need to use the association-wide user name and password).   We will also have hard copies of the agreement at the January 25 General Meeting, at all training meetings and for you "stragglers" and at the March 3 Business Meeting.

Same as last year, before you will be allowed to work games for NBUA a signed MSA must be on file. This year, Dick Lindberg and John Philbeck will be handling these agreements so please give your completed MSA to either of them or me as soon as possible.

For our umpires who have not turned 18 years of age by March 1, 2007, in addition to your signature, we also need the signature of your parent or legal guardian.   Additionally, those under 18 will also need a completed and signed "Authorization for Medical Treatment of a Minor".   That form can be downloaded here and hard copies will also be available at the meetings and at training.

If it would be easier for you to mail your MSA, please mail it to:

Thanks to the bylaws committee for their hard work and a special thanks to the sub-committee of John Philbeck, Reams Goodloe and Dick Lindberg.
