Volunteers needed for NBUA Web Site Committee

By Scott Johnson
Web Site Committee Chair

Last night the NBUA Board of Directors voted to create a new standing committee of the NBUA Board – the Web Site Committee. I've been named chairman for this committee.

The committee shall consist of at least 5 members with at least two of them being board members. The committee is tasked with revamping and possibly overhauling our current site.

Now, I did not post this announcement via mass e-mail. I'm curious to see who took me up on my request for members to regularly check this site for new information. It is this type of person who I want to be part of this committee. One who is excited about the technology, one who uses the web on a daily if not hourly basis. My background is strictly design – plus enough knowledge of code to be dangerous – but I'm not a coding expert. I'd like one committee member who knows his way around the coding side of the web. Committee members must be willing to review content fast, as my goal for this site is to get the information to the membership as expeditiously as possible. I'm also looking for members with a "vision" for the site, to come up with new ideas that we've never had before.

So if you know your way around a website, have great ideas on what you want to see for NBUA's site, and have the time to help the association grow and prosper, please contact me. Send me an email with a brief statement on how you would like to help.
